Amazing how many comments on other sites such as newspaper sites etc believe Harman won this one. Talking about him having to raise his voice and shout at her...but not mentioning when she does the same, or when she just wont shut the hell up.

He didn't make that - Labour did. Bloke hasn't even been in power for 2 years and he's had to do what he's done with his hands tied to the LibDems thanks to a load of people who should know better voting UKIP. Cameron's got balls. Perhaps they might not be as big as Maggie's but he's got 'em. He's been well on top of things since he got back and there's a real change in his tone and determination.
Regardless of the riots and the lib dems Cameron was bent on bankrupting this country completely anyway. More power to the UKIP, the only alternative to lefty liberalism which we have now in abundance thanks to Comrade Cameron.
That'll be me as well then.

Todays Conservative party isn't like the 'Thatcherist' party of old. And that to me is true conservatism, not this pale immatation that we have now.

If Mr Cameron would have made it a manifesto pledge that there would be a referendum on our participation of the great socialist EU project, then he'd have been more likely to win my vote. Although of course we have been down such roads with Labour before now, (2004 IIRC?).

And on the subject of Labour I was half tempted to vote for my local Labour Candidate anyway, just to see how the pigs coped with sleeping in there own st.
But the Tories for 100 years before Thatcher were like they are now. And in the 20 years since Thatcher too.

So the brand of Conservatism that you like so much actually only existed for something like 10% of the time of the existence of the Tories?

UKIP will never win anything. Anyone who votes UKIP better like Labour, because that's who they're helping.

I like Farage. He is interesting, articulate, intelligent and most of all sane. The trouble for UKIP is there is just him. There is no depth in the party, no other stars, just a few lunatics. Farage never actually says anything bad either, his MO has always been to point out the absurd, question and mock. Been a superb PR position, but for UKIP to advance they need more talent than just him.

^This, 100%.

I find Farage's ability to tackle the various elephants in the political room - especially the EU - to be both refreshing and entertaining. The MP's expenses scandal ought to have flagged up, to political parties across the board, the distaste and mistrust the public feels for the political classes in general. Sadly, most have ignored that uncomfortable fact and fail, on a regular basis, to reflect the desires and interests of the 'man on the street'.

For all it matters this is exactly right.

UKIP, with which's POLICIES I entirely agree, seems to be one man with a very invisible tail…

If Nigel was backed up by a good number of visibly "right minded" entities he/they would get far more influence.

But if asked who is an UKIP politician "Farage" is my only possible answer.

I already know/think he took over the reins 'cos Lord Summatorother wasn't up to/for it.

But

I really, really can't remember who he was! eek
