biggrin it's one of those days when you can sit back and relax secure in the warm glow that all those who deserve to be annoyed, are.

Nope...a Royal procession under a bridge that opens up with thousands of people cheering on...VOLUNTARILY!!!! And with no tax payer expense on the show! A show by the people for the Monarch to show the world who we are ...BRITISH!

In fairness, they did pay for it so it's just good manners for us to show them it on TV every so often. smile

I was pretty well indifferent about it all until I read this thread, and thought how much it must be pissing off some lefties and wrong heads. Then I came over all patriotic, royalist, and fk me sideways, even a little bit tory.

Only spoiled slightly by the downright awful and OTT BBC coverage.

After wishing they'd throw Claire Balding off that boat for the n'th time, iI switched over to Sky's coverage, far better and less toadying.

The Queen and Duke must be freezing.... and very tired. This has been going on for hours now.

Hope they don't catch a cold.... or worse...

Interesting that they said the fly past by the Swordfish has been cancelled...

I was there last weekend, in the glorious sunshine, when a really old, slow bi plane flew past.... dress rehersal perhaps?

All the flypasts have been cancelled.

The weather could not have been worse for a flypast.

We were supposed to have seen a BBMF Spitfire in Twyford today.

For once I knew about it in advance. Sodding weather.

Queen, 86 years old.
Duke of Edinburgh, 90 years old.

They have both been stood for over 3 hours waving to the thousands of people who came out in classic British weather to celebrate Diamond Jubilee. The boat they were on had thrones for them both, but no...

They are still standing! Respect!
