Yup - current NI payments fund the pensions of those already in retirement. There is no 'fund' managed by HM Gov to support individuals future pension entitlements.
In any other walk of life, this would be considered to be gross incompetence/fraud resulting in gaol (anyone for Guinness?)- but not for the 'political class'.
I've not contracted out of 'SERPS' so would have hoped to have had a bit extra when no longer able to work.
Hopefully, I'll not make it to retirement!
