This is just scaremongering. No planes were stolen. Planes that werent removed from the airport were destroyed by the terrorists.
That's what I understood as well. Pilots for LAA and Afriqyah braved the fighting to get some planes off the ground and out of the country on the basis that, if the fighting ever stops, they're more likely to have a job and an airline if they've got some planes left.This is just scaremongering. Most of the planes left behind, together with the terminal building, look to have been destroyed.
(Mind you Tripoli airport was a pretty hideous 1970's construction so not a big loss unless you need to use it or work there).

Although it was a 10ft wave the size of a country.....ked a Japanese nuclear facility. I would have thought a 747 landing on one would be at least a tad worrying. Most nuclear power plants have walls like this;

Actually it survived the earthquake and tsunami, what took it out was its emergency generators being taken out so there was no power to lift the fuel rods out of the core. Aim the plane to take out the incoming power and back up generators and you are probably onto a winner.ked a Japanese nuclear facility. those aren't stored outside but behind very thick walls, you'd need a special bunker buster bombs to break those, jumbo jet would just disintegrate on impact without affecting the plantMagog said:
