For something very Partridge like it may be worth playing from 9 minutes in.

It appears someone who thinks they have more rights as a tourist than this poor chap does as a resident has finally taken exception:

Hopefully his replacement will be in an equally "interesting" colour

I've seen that several times on my way through Bibury to Cirencester. It crossed my mind once that didn't seem the right place for a youngster to live...
The owner is 82! My new hero Peter Maddox.
Brilliant, might stop off next time and have a word with him.
'Now your car is famous I'd suggest you sell it, get the national press down again letting them know, and you can bet your bottom dollar some stupid f. will pay you well over the odds for it, then you'll have a nice sum, plus enough to go and buy your 'lime green' Corsa.' 'However, this time get get a VXR so when the dopey moaning complainers arrive, drive it up and down and blipping the throttle!'

Surly Vauxhall is missing an opportunity to give him a liveried, Illuminous, car as a replacement, would make for some hilarious PR, especially if it was one of the range toppers.
A bright yellow Maloo, this man needs a bright yellow maloo, with some for of lawdy aftermarket exhaust system.

You are being far too nice to him. I bet he has quite a lot of money and he ends up buying a bright yellow 1.2 Corsa on 19 inch wheels. Sorry, but that is just about the worst PH crime ever, and yet you are all giving him the benefit of the doubt. No. If it had been a bright red Fiat 100hp, or a ultra violet Suzuki Swift or even a gold Nissan Micra with a GTR engine it it, then fair does.
But no. It's a bright yellow Corsa on 19 inch wheels with 27bhp. That's why people are complaining.
Also, I'd like to point out that although nothing can be done with those oversized wheels there is such a thing as wrapping your car nowadays. Hence this
You can't beat stone cladding. The first ever grade II listed corsa. Sweeet
Finally, one dreads to think what would happen if he washed and hung out his orange trousers in the village
