That will be 100 PH tv licence paying viewers surely ? I demand, as a PH minority to get my own show, just like all the other minorities.
More seriously Chris Evans would be a good choice. Not that the show needs saving, it actually needs a refresh. Perhaps this the BBC way of doing it without having to pay over the odds If Vladamir Putin is the first star in a reasonably priced Lada on the next post JC show then I told you so.
Called it on page 5 of this mammoth thread. Now just to get Vladamir in that Lada ....More seriously Chris Evans would be a good choice. Not that the show needs saving, it actually needs a refresh. to me !
He was the only choice they have and after a few moans for the first few episodes he will be better than JC who had got very staid.
They need to change the format completely though so it really is a fresh start.
Probably the only option for the BBC, the program will change significantly towards a more PC format and will appeal to the easily offended with it's inoffensive content. Will it be successful? Who knows but the old USP won't be there- might be a better motoring program if not entertainment program.

Why didn't quote the actual person who said it? Was it Sir Lenny Henry ? Gandahar said:

Why didn't quote the actual person who said it? Was it Sir Lenny Henry ? Let's call it a pre-emptive defence.
My point stands. How can one condemn a programme that has not even be made yet?

Chris Evans has signed a 3 year deal apparently
Oh heck, I never liked him. Ah well. Tata Top Gear, it was nice knowing you. BBC as usual ignoring public opinion and clutching at straws in a desperate attempt at keeping Top gear alive
, Chris Evans has absolutely no journalistic talent , nether has he the wit or sarcasm of Clarkson , combined with his toothy irritating self importance ,
in essence a tt of the highest magnitude , should stick to being a has been radio presenter and painting his cars Ginger !!
I for one will not be watching this prat , signals the end of Top Gear
