I think he's finally realised he's out of his depth and isn't coming back.

You'd have to have a pretty fragile ego to feel the need to prove your credentials to some random on the internet, or to demand proof, come to that.

I think it's perfectly natural to want to know a bit more about anyone with such emphatic and inflexible views, coupled with a dismissive approach to other viewpoints. It can all be easily be explained by youth, immaturity and inexperience but otherwise it needs to be backed up in some way if people are going to take any notice.

As far as I'm concerned, when you make a comment like this (which couldn't be further from the truth):

Sidney, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about WRT AGW, so I think you're in no position to tell me I have no understanding. At least my background is actually in science, rather than a banker w**ker..
Then you need to justify yourself or take it back!

No idea but, must be a long time since we've had 40 pages in a week(20 posts per page).

It's back tonight.

"David Dimbleby presents topical debate from Watford. The panel includes Liberal Democrat business secretary Vince Cable MP, Labour's shadow health minister Liz Kendall MP, Conservative former shadow home secretary David Davis MP, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and the broadcaster and columnist Julia Hartley-Brewer."

Not too bad except for poor old mental Vince, really he's become a pathetic shambling caricature of himself. Kendall can be relied upon to spout all the right bullst bingo phrases, Davis will speak common sense and hard truths and nobody will clap. Wales I know little about and Hartley-Brewer should ruffle some feathers. I still won't watch it though, Dumbledor does me 'ead in.

Poor lineup in my opinion, thought they could have collected a few more heavyweights in light of what's happened in France. Probably watch it though.

Jimmy Wales should be interesting, Julia Hartley Brewer has just been binned by LBC.

David Davis has just nailed it there; if only he had got the job instead of CMD.

David Davis is very good, he is too low profile in the Tories.

I like that she's been forthright about why the press have not reprinted Charlie Hebdo's cartoons; fear of death not fear of offending.

I doubt a single panellist tonight is going to say anything silly in that regard.

I wonder what would have happened if someone, even a panellist, had taken a stand and worn a T-Shirt or something?

One of them could have...even just the, French sentence, I am Charlie, would have been good.
