A narcissist can not ever accept they are wrong. He will be thinking the payment was required to keep control of Fifa and naturally Fifa is best served by him. When you look at how long he has controlled Fifa, it doesn't take a genius to work out why he was so popular..... he may have bought their loyalty

Up to 16 former or current FIFA officials could be indicted (is that charged?) by US Officials today. I don't have any of the answers to this, but surely the whole thing needs to be torn down and started from scratch? The worst thing is that the biggest surprise in all of this is that somebody actually bothered to finally do something about it.

The somebody who bothered to do something about it was the USA. Apparently they were due to get the WC that went to Qatar. It's not wise to pee off the Americans.

The somebody who bothered to do something about it was the USA. Apparently they were due to get the WC that went to Qatar. It's not wise to pee off the Americans.

There is a more recent, big push to quash corruption hence the action. what is interesting is the mechanism by which the US get involved. Bribery in law is limited to public officials, they get Fifa from something as tenuous as them using the US dollar. You only have to conduct one part of the bribery process; in their territory, currency, banking system and they will go after you.
