You have to wonder why JK says/hopes it would be soooo bad for Brexiters if the A50 process took 731 days. As a Leave voter the precise length of the process doesn't concern me, others may disagree, but there are external factors weighing on the timescale which are unrelated to voting sentiment.
Well I suppose he has to squeeze as much drama out of it as he can, doesn't he? It'll take as long as it takes, if it were rushed and it all went to pot he'd be on here in a flash saying ''I told you so, so there, etc, etc...''.

Anyway, in answer to Marshphantom's thread title and another of JawKnee's missives, the Tories aren't a disaster and 'not making an immediate decision about Brexit' doesn't mean they're a shambles either (said the ex-Labour voter, for a bit of level headed balance).

You're comparing apples with pears. We work in their industry, not the other way round.

Even for coders, a lot of employers in finance look for people with the relevant domain knowledge. How can you write a trading platform for example without knowing anything about trading?
I think that the others a being a bit unfair to you.

In fact, I am very pleased that we have someone who understands the financial markets because I have been trying to get my head around Credit Default Swaps for years.

Would you mind explaining them to me, please?

You think she'd have mentioned it today if it was only going to a little bit longer than 2 years?? Unlikely. She is laying the groundwork to dither and delay, for that is what she does, like most major decisions so far. It will probably extend to the 2020 election, were we will all vote on it. And if we don't like it then years more negotiations.

I think you are simply keeping the debate open by slipping sideways between topics whilst not addressing them properly. Simple tactics of the left. Keep the conversation going whilst avoiding the issue, guiding the debate whilst swerving from the embarrassing truth...

Ultimately, it's not the Tories that are in a mess, it's Labour. And my God, what a mess they are in. It's positively embarrassing what Corbin has created. An opposition so extreme, anti semetic and hard Left that it is totally unelectable.

Of course, labelling the tories as anything at all deflects the attention away from the ELEPHANT in the room... ie the disaster that is... LABOUR:

Ever seen so many edits within a few minutes of each other on a single post!
Was your kettle boiling or maybe the kid crying, dunno, either way it's all a matter of opinion and if sidicks pops into this thread he will be asking everybody for their evidence appertaining to their mutterings.

Merely bringing this thread back on topic. The subject line and OPs post is about the Tories in case you missed it. There is a different thread if you want to talk about the leader of the opposition. But I suspect you're the one who wants to distract attention with your "look over there at the party which isn't in charge-isms".

So, back on topic. What has Theresa May done so far?

Dithered on Hinkley C
Dithered on new runways
Dithering on Brexit
Bringing back unpopular Grammar Schools
Seemingly calm that the cost of living is about to jump
The Pound plummeting
Businesses making plans to leave the country

That' not a great first 3 months to be honest. wtf do the next 3 years hold!?

the Sun will still rise in the morning the birds will sing and people will go about their daily lives as normal. In the meantime nasty labour voters try so hard to paint a picture of chaos and doom and gloom which just isn't the case.

A very accurate picture of things.

I always hear Labour and the SNP going on about 'beating the Tories', rather than what their own party is going to do if (rofl) they ever get into power.

Your thread title was 'What a disaster the Tories are'. And yet they are in power, are not a laughing stock and actually have policies that they are working on seeing through. What are the opposition doing? You can't deride the Government in power without providing a credible opposition argument. Labour have no argument at all. Are embarassingly anti semetic and have a moron with 2 grade 'E' A levels for a leader...

I didn't make this thread. Yes the Tories are a laughing stock. Look at who she made Foreign Secretary for a start. laugh Whatever you say about Diane Abbot, she's better than Bozo, the worst Mayor London has ever had.

Hickley C first announced in 2010
Heathrow R3 first mooted decades ago
Brexit only voted on three months ago

These are huge projects which have been discussed, initiated, put off and discussed some more over years and years. And you want her to make snap decisions on all of them inside three months?

You're almost as demented as your dear leader.

It's almost as if you've decided you've not trolled enough already, so you've now made more and more outrageous claims until you get banned.

Just making stupid claims without evidence isn't credible forum posting, it's demonstrating the intelligence and debating ability of a primary school child.

Excluding the present incumbent (only just elected so too early to judge) you would have to admit that Boris is, at least, the second best ever Mayor of London. Go on, try to deny it.
