Fag packet maths :
Figures bandied around are just over 1 billion users, and it's worth 200 - 250 billion dollars.
Is there 20 dollars worth of information for each user ?
They know where my missus lives, her friends and she likes expensive lampshades, am I missing something ?
Try $200 per user.Figures bandied around are just over 1 billion users, and it's worth 200 - 250 billion dollars.

What sites she visits when logged into Facebook (their tracking stuff), what she buys online, how long she looks at websites, how she chooses products, search terms, etc etc etc. That's worth a lot to marketeers.Figures bandied around are just over 1 billion users, and it's worth 200 - 250 billion dollars.

The price has done well recently, that's not in dispute.

It's that new fking POS mobile app with spam in the timeline. s. I have never clicked through anything on general fking principle.
Yes it's the spam in the timeline. It's not really any different to TV commercials though is it? You are forced to view them as part of using the service. A bit like TV adverts, before the advent of catchup TV and sky+ you are forced to watch them. The real growth in revenue will come when advertisers work out how to use the medium.Oh for a crystal ball eh.

I think there is a high chance that FB will turn out to be a great investment especially at $23.70. But to be honest I don't really care, I'd prefer to lose money on the deal rather than sit here in 5 years regretting not getting in early enough.
I could pick a few posts from earlier in the thread but I'll go with this one.Share price now 133 dollars. Well done that man.
