I wouldn't say it is lost - I thought it was a pretty safe Tory seat, hence why they allowed this clown to stand.
he's not a clown, he's an eel yes

When will people learn not to fk about on PH?
This isn't the first person to get grilled, nor is it the last.

If he has only been suspended by the party, does it mean that it is too late to get their £500 back? If it is, does he still stand as an independent?

In all fairness, Labour never had a chance in that constituency. They haven't lost a seat as such, more withdrawn before too much embarrassment was suffered.
More's the pity.

The perfect demonstration of why new candidates are "tested" in an unwinnable constituency first..

Could we systematically go around all of the contituencies where Labour are likely to get voted in and dig up dirt on their candidates?

Just a thought! getmecoat

Fawkes makes a good point - assuming all the Labour voters vote Lib Dem they could take this from the Tories .. an 8,000 majority and 12,000 Labour voters suddenly with nobody to vote for ..

It was the constituency that I was most looking forward to the result from.

This guy sure, but do we really want all politicians to be whiter than white?

I can easily imagine a good politician who was a glamour model's agent and boasted about their sexual exploits.

Can't imagine a good one who lived with their mother though...

I think theres a fine line between having a bit of a colourful past and the outright fraud that cowan/racistdud007 has managed (disapointed that the press havent pushed the financial interests declaration fraud) and I'd like to think most people are sensible enough to realise what is and isnt relevant

It is a shame the original thread was removed. Agreed the photoshop of Cowan doing something obscene with a Range Rover and other dodgy allegations went a bit far, but can the mods not bring it back 'toned down' hehe
