Scottish Referendum / Independence - Vol 6

Didn't the NAZI party and also communist parties use this tactic
Back in a earlier days of the referendum campaign, I likened the aggressive yes supporters who used intimidation to disrupt opposition to the brown shirts found in Germany. Although there's no way I started it, it is somewhat satisfying that I'm not he only one seeing similarities but at the same time very worrying.People need to know what they are voting for. Unfortunately we have a Scottish population who have been uninterested and detached from politics for some time. This tied in with economic problems has created a massively impressionable and naïve electorate.
Hence the popular SNP "If you want it, you got it. Just vote SNP" propaganda (lies).

It is sad that the SNP have made this anti-English nationalism almost acceptable north of the border. They have managed to turn football banter into genuine ill-feeling amongst some against others in the same Nation (UK). It is disgusting, and as has been said almost religious like in both its grip and its ability to prevent its sheep from seeing how dark it is.
I see from the comments section, comparisons with the 1930s are becoming more and more frequent (....'I'm sure Nazi germany started this way'....).
Worse than a "Yes" or "No" this could become a neverendum.
Even the Scottish want to set the issue aside for now. SNP will gain support but I think that's largely because they are likely to advocate for pro-Scottish policies rather than their stance on ending the union.
Only a matter of time before people start an English party with isolationist policies I suppose. Perhaps UKIP will become EIP and the SE-EIP if the South East decides to go it alone. Then again Scotland might leave the UK but stay in the EU. It's all a bit mental really, I realise being anti-union (EU, UK etc.) is very fashionable but there are reasons unions where formed.
I think in the end political unions (both EU and UK) will prevail eventually because they are politically and economically expedient. I suppose people could consider the Republic of Ireland a case study on what economic consequences might be of going it alone (except you now have the additional problems like negotiating FTAs in a global economy). In the meantime, referendum or not, it seems we are to endure never-ending speculation on both subjects.

He can't go thinking we're actual human beings now - we're the Tory unionist nazi enemy! Why the attack? Strange.
Anyway Strocky, did we finish the zero hours contract discussion?

Yes, I asked a question and you answered truthfully
You don't know how truthful it was - strange you think it was bearing in mind the number of times you've questioned my honesty. In any case, it didn't meet your expectation of a Tory unionist preaching to those on unstable contracts... so it fair shut you up? Shame - I really thought you might've had a strong line of argument and feeling about zero hours contracts to share with us. More fool me.
