It's hilarious how some posters here who have no skin in the game get so upset in support of Trump, a candidate who, here in America, is supported by not a single serious person. As goes this thread goes the election, foaming morons lapping up Trump's lies on one side, the rest of us on the other. And I'm not just talking about democrats, just about every credible republican, businessman, economist and thinking human being knows that Trump would have been the worst possible person ever elected and a danger to us and to the whole world. But that doesn't stop PHers from Wolverhampton to the Scottish Highlands getting incandescent with rage in support of a cartoonish demagogue that to most Americans is a figure of derision or disgust. Even many of those who will vote for him would prefer almost any other republican to be the candidate, even Mike Pence. hehe

I can understand 5ohpreston, he's bonkers of course but at least he lives here. I don't agree with Jimbeaux on much but at least he understands the fundamentals and is consistent in his beliefs. Some of the UK posters who have joined this thread in recent months are clearly in need of an intervention from mental health professionals as they zealously support Trump and swallow whole every lie and invention about his opponent. I'm tempted to tell some of them to get a life but I sense that for some like Areout this is his life, lived vicariously through a figure 4000 miles away who would undoubtedly treat him with the same contempt he has for the dribbling fools who support him here. laugh

The moron is being booed at the Al Smith dinner. He has no clue how to behave in public. He's an utter without a single redeeming feature.
I thought Romney was very funny at the Al Smith dinner in 2012. He poked fun at himself and the president and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Funny how when Romney lost Trump called him Mr Choke and a loser, but I think now Trump probably wishes he had Romney's polling at this point.

A red herring. The problem exists regardless of whether Trump says it does or not.

The DNC primary was rigged. What was your opinion on that prior to the leaks?
In what way was it rigged? You could easily argue that super delegates and the individual states' donkey party primary procedures are either absurdly arcane or just absurd, but I don't see evidence of rigging. Bernie isn't a member, why would the super-delegates vote for him?

Apparently unlike the UK system where you have to turn up at the polling station with your voting card or proof of ID in order to vote, in the USA anyone can just turn up and give their name, if it's on the list they can vote, if it's not on the list they are given temporary voting rights and can then vote as they see fit
(My bolding)

Er... You don't need ID to vote in the UK. You don't even need your polling card either - the polling crd is sent as a reminder that you have registered and the details, nothing more.
When I have voted in the UK in the past, I have gone to the polling station with neither my polling card or ID and voted successfully.
Yup. I aways turn up with my polling card but they never ask for it, they just tick your name off.

Where in that 1h 36 of footage is the bit you're referring to?
52:05, when she responded she didn't even mention it just continued attacking him on women
No, that's not how it played out. He was asked about groping women. He denied it and introduced violence at his rallies. She pointed out that he had said (basically) the accusers were too ugly for him to have groped, and suggested - did not say directly, but suggested - that his attitudes to women were the cause of violence at his rallies.

Trump's mo is to make inflammatory comments almost constantly. I can't think it would be surprise if it causes some pretty high feeling at his rallies.

I can't see how you get "practically admit" out of that.

I was watching the Debate on France 24 news channel earlier today and listened in disbelief over how people are allowed to vote in the USA.

Apparently unlike the UK system where you have to turn up at the polling station with your voting card or proof of ID in order to vote, in the USA anyone can just turn up and give their name, if it's on the list they can vote, if it's not on the list they are given temporary voting rights and can then vote as they see fit (or have been paid). I can only assume that this might kind of lead to somewhat suspect voting by a great many people who really shouldn't be allowed to vote in the first place such as illegal immigrants, etc. Also begs the question about bribed voters who could vote more than once simply by visiting more than one polling station then giving out a false name or assuming the identity of an existing voter.

Thinking further on the whole US voting system, and bearing in mind that the actual voting system is electronic rather than the far simpler and more checkable paper voting slips, I can't help but wonder if the voting figures could be fiddled adjusted by the people who actually make the decisions.
I don't think any of these kinds of frauds are statistically relevant. Certainly when the results are to close to call like in Bush-Gore race the limits of US diversified and complex system appear.

Are you two:

a) suggesting that unrepentant who (I am led to believe) lives in the US has "no skin in the game"?

b) just trolling because his views differ to yours?

c) illiterate?

Be careful. I remember your first post.....post brexit. We live in 'unusual' times smile
I prefer this one of his pre-Brexit-

In fairness his first statement is correct, as the polling solidified in support of a narrow remain win the markets did start climbing, then the result from Sunderland came in and hi hooooooooooooo!

lizard control units are much smaller, you should know /that/! smile

Her entire torso appears covered in something. Perhaps, just some back support, or a bullet-proof vest, or a whole medical room's worth of miniaturized devices and drugs to keep her upright?
You really think that? Compare that image with this one - http://media2.s-nbcnews.com/j/msnbc/components/vid... - from the same debate. No obvious signs of anything on her back.

To a neutral (and American) observer you and 50h are two sides of the same coin.

The perfect representation of voters drowning in a corrupt, binary system. Worked into a lather by hearsay and identity politics and ignoring nearly anything of substance.

Being in Germany for so long, I'd forgotten just how ridiculous it all is.
