Turkey has no chance of ever meeting the EU membership criteria so I wouldn't get too worried.
However, I am concerned about Turkish membership, because as you also said:Likes Fast Cars said:
There is no true democracy in the EU, they don't even stick to their rules & regulations when it suits them!

Turkey will be let in, they don't think about the future as long as today looks ok
the EU mess rolls along getting bigger and more out of control ..... It is so depressing to think we might vote to stay in this corupt inefficient mess.....

We will get what Germany wants, and at the moment they need to suck up to Turkey to solve the immigration problem that Merkel partially created, and the EU fks up then Reacts.
Turkey WILL be let in, of that there is no doubt, the only thing nobody outside the EU knows is the timeline - they don't think, nor care about the future - they care only about today and how they look and their income remains or increases and their lovely little cosy club continues ...end of.
The EU is now no more than a gigantic mess - it simply rolls along getting bigger and more out of control ...9 member states in 1975 with a vision everyone was blind to at the time, a little common market that would grow into a European Super State.
It is so depressing, but hardly surprising looking around at the numbers of unintelligent people today, to think we might vote to stay in this corrupt, inefficient, utter and total FUBB. And if you don't know what FUBB is, get a copy of Wishbone Ash's 'There's the Rub' LP, released in 1974 a few months before the last 1975 referendum.

Another fear over hope campaign by CMD.
If we risk nothing now, we risk hell of a lot more later. Others want us to stay for their convenience, not ours.
OFFS! The fear factor is getting worse by the remainians.
Camoron, no less this time.
Front page headline of tomorrow's (Monday) Telegraph...
Cameron:
Leaving EU could bring ...WAR!!!!!
Arrghhh, omg! War? Jeesh, must vote REMAIN at all costs.
War?
Think of the children...
vote remain.
F. IDIOT!
He's just following the line of that fellow dick Juncker, who said the same last month.
edit
They inc Camoron must now be getting really desperate to toss fear like that about. Perhaps, as they will be getting all the insider info on voting percentages, things are better for 'out' than currently being touted?
OUT!

Is Turkey & the pipeline from Qatar/Saudi also the answer to Europe's reliance on Russian energy? Turkey possibly holds more than the refugee card.Turkey will be let in, they don't think about the future as long as today looks ok

I'd go further, I think Turkey now hold the whole deck of cards!
There's gold (gas) in them thar hills (deserts - pipeline).

Laughable.
If an decision to leave would cause war, why hold a referendum?
"We are a democracy" the politicians trot out in response to this.
Amusing hearing Tory MPs who were anti EU just months ago suddenly toeing the party line and delivering this bks on the BBC this morning.
Also, if a decision to leave would cause war, why not tell us sooner? If an decision to leave would cause war, why hold a referendum?

The real eye opener, is when lightly questioned, how absolutely paper thin the remain arguments are. If an decision to leave would cause war, why hold a referendum?

A 7 year old would take the "security" argument apart in 30 seconds, likewise the "immigration" issue. The economic argument is uncertain both ways. The geopolitical strategy of the EU, especially as regards Turkey, seems to have been made up in the back of a taxi, after a heavy night of drinking at the Oktoberfeest.
So not voting remain now means European war, economic doom, £4K per household worse off , house price crash , a greater security threat and don't forget those roaming charges would go back up too. Would the pro remain side of PH like to mention which they think is bullst, or just stay silent and look at your feet a bit trying not to answer.
Lets see what next week brings, as maybe the hot weather will mean a plague of locusts brought on my non EU membership and inability to deal with climate change.

Listening to Robinson 'interview' Penny Mordaunt on R4 Today there weren't any new issues. More of the same, interrupt and talk over any points, and a war of job titles, despite the list of defence staff and former heads of security services who have stated that Brexit is positive or of no concern to Britain's security, according to Robinson they know nothing and it's heads of state who know better, blatant appeal to supposed authority.

I think the leave side should just keep quiet, the remain team are doing a fantastic job of scaring people into vote leave. They protest far too much. I am still an undecided but the more scaremongering that goes on the more I am incline to vote leave.Lets see what next week brings, as maybe the hot weather will mean a plague of locusts brought on my non EU membership and inability to do with climate change.
