Apparently the GOP realised their claims that Biden was coming for their white goods didn't have any traction so they've dropped it and are planning a response copying what Biden has already done?

Nothing yet on asset seizures, although it would be funny if that happened whilst he was tied up in court on another business fraud trial...
I'm guessing nothing until next week, when the hearing is about it?

Lisa Rubin thinks we'll hear more about it today

I do like the medical note as a response biggrin

That would also be wise. He tells so many lies that he forgets them and doubles/trebles down.

Someone was claiming trumps bible has the Bill of Rights included, but has deliberately left out the other Amendments assuring the freedom of slaves, women’s right to vote and the limitation of two terms for a president.

As always the internet have had their say... "Mr trump, Why is the tale of Lot and his daughters now 47 pages long?" biggrin

Jury selection could be quite a process. There are 42 questions for each potential juror to answer, some with multiple parts.
Once the trial starts jurors will decide whether Trump is guilty of any of 34 counts of falsifying business records. Their decision must be unanimous. If they can't agree on a verdict, the judge can declare a mistrial. If jurors have a reasonable doubt that Trump is guilty, they have to acquit him. If they convict him, the judge will decide the sentence.

I'd imagine an unanimus verdict is going to be hard to get to, given the number of nutters that seem to inhabit American juries.

In an ideal world at least one Trumpite gets selected and they are brought round and made to see sense by the rest of the jurors. Of course there'll still be complaints about 'rigged juries' but with this lot that will happen regardless of the jury's constitution. The difficulty will be in protecting the jury members from being nobbled.

Salon columnist Amanda Marcotte is claiming trump's multiple attempts to derail and delay the trial for over a year is a sign of his "abject terror" about what Stormy will say not only in the trial but outside as well.

She's going to get to tell her side of the story, and the threats she faced for telling it

This is a point I was trying to make to CGT a while back. If just one of the jury say 'Not guilty' that has a potential knock on effect for all the other trials as it would throw into doubt the strength of those cases. The flip side is that a unanimous guilty verdict would strengthen the other cases.

Court officials expect about 500 new jurors each day to be available, with about 100 brought at a time into judge Mechan's courtroom for vetting, and Lisa Rubin twas on "Morning Joe" saying that she thinks trump running his mouth off over the weekend will be addressed first. Plus trumps lawyers will be under orders to attack the gag order again.

Also trump's lawyers get 10 peremptory strikes, knocking anyone off they don't like the look of without giving a reason.

Rubin also thinks trump won't be able to control his temper

MSNBC say around 1500 jurors, to be available

Amazing how they forgot Cohen spent a year in jail for his part, that trump as “Individual-1,” was a co-conspirator.

As pointed out, all the prosecution has to prove is that trump falsified business records with “intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.”

Which they have the paperwork and testimony to back it up. Thats why trump is so worried, ranting so much
