There's a decent possibility she is keeping her options open at not running again, 3 years out, as only has a 5600 majority, and it's increasingly clear that the SNP have peaked some time ago.https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/12/m...
I don't earn anything like the package she does either.

"It’s the kind of place where, if you are reasonable with folk then they will soften a little.”https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/12/m...
Judging by her speeches and comments I have seen of hers then that comment by her may explain why she is not having a good time!
Also saw this on Facebook today...
"Education Secretary John Swinney’s local high school has issued a crisis plea to parents asking them to help teach maths."

Being a shower of ste as a constituency MP might have something to do with it; crap as Douglas Alexander was he appears to have been a conscientious constituency MP who worked hard for the people who elected him.
This. Totally and utterly (coming from someone who lives in her consituency). The overwhelming majority of SNP voters here switched from other parties having be sold the lie of 'red tories' despite having one of the most visible and active MPs constituency-wise in the country. Even those who have kept their allegience to the nationalist cause that I have spoken to agree that they lost out when the gimmick that is Ms. Black took the office.I mentioned the resignation of a local counciller who clashed with Black over her lack of interest in local issues (no-where to be seen or contacted when the children's ward of the local hospital was faced with closure). She's not a politician it seems, and it has finally dawned on her.

And still it's all Westmister's fault http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/12/nicola-...

Got to keep repeating the soundbites! Credit to the SNP that they have this aspect of their politicking down to a T. Irony of course though is that MacAskill made the point that they seem to be permanently in campaign mode.r11co said:

What a b*tch.
A cynical attempt to use the short term post Brexit dip (that is bound to happen) to say 'look, told ye so. Come on Scotland, we're off'.
How can she say staying in the EU is in Scotlands interests with a straight (well, round) face when most of their trade is with England.
I'd go so far as to say she is abusing her power.

...the lady from Goven has stuck the boot in, the people from Scotland are off to the ballots again in late 2018/early 2019.
Can't say I blame them, I suspect they will be off this time. May & co made zero effort to stop the inevitable , just the same old empty sound bites ...
