Yup they are hearing on the charge of Obstruction - that Thomas refuses to recuse himself from, despite his wife being involved. He skipped the hearings Monday for no reason given but was back yesterday
One post claimed Thomas was trying to minimise the severity of trumps insurrection attempt

Whilst Justice Alito said people who have disrupted Supreme Court proceedings have not faced jail time, which was a complete lie

It does seem a bit odd that the SOX act is being used to prosecute people. I should point out that I have no legal knowledge whatsoever but I would have thought that SOX dealt with corporate matters.
So if those convictions get walked back, who takes the blame for prosecuting under those laws in the first place? Monumental fkup if so.LF5335 said:

So what's your point?
Which former President, faced with almost a hundred felony charges, has been processed by the justice system more quickly than Trump?
I think you know this, in fact I’m sure you do. Which former President, faced with almost a hundred felony charges, has been processed by the justice system more quickly than Trump?

None of us know the outcome of the next 8-12 months.....but you always appear full of angst, and a need to argue how the tangerine turd will get away with everything.
Maybe he will, maybe he won't: let's enjoy the banter and ride.

Sounds like a whole bunch of money being burned.
If the trend continues DJT will be under $20 today.

I don't recall anyone saying that connected with anything happening quickly for Trump.
And also I don't recall anyone saying there is one justice system because that is very much dependant on the colour of your skin.
I recall them saying it quite clearly. At no point did I mention anything about “quickly” in my comment. I’ll never find the original comment, as this thread moves at a pace with the amount of posts, but it was a very early concern that I had. And also I don't recall anyone saying there is one justice system because that is very much dependant on the colour of your skin.

The only evidence we have is the amount of appeals, delays and the fact that Trump isn't in prison, under house arrest and can continue slagging everyone off with no repercussions which to me doesn't point to crossing every I or dotting every T.
It's unprecedented, we all agree but the normal laws aren't being followed (as evidenced by him ignoring the gag orders and so on with no blowback) so why would you have any faith that normal law will be followed with anything else to do with the case?

I don't blame him. This is volume 14 of the Trump thread and it there are thousands (if not tens of thousands) of posts documenting Trump's scummy behaviour over the last 8 years, and highlighting the possible consequences of those actions. The angst comes from reading about all those actions and then watching Trump basically getting away with things.None of us know the outcome of the next 8-12 months.....but you always appear full of angst, and a need to argue how the tangerine turd will get away with everything.

Isn’t he being hauled up for contempt for breaching the gag orders?
Fines pretty meagre but maybe determined by statute.
I see also that attendance at that hearing is obligatory for him. So little Donny bone spurs has to actually sit in front of the headmaster for a telling off
he won't give a toss about the fines.Fines pretty meagre but maybe determined by statute.

Im not sure that being in court and listening to evidence will bother him either, it'll just reinforce his belief that this is a conspiracy but corrupt people to "get him". After all he's the greatest President ever seen and automaticlaly deserves to be again (in his head at least).
His arrogance and ego will override any shame he might feel and just turn it to anger, hence outbursts on TS, gag orders and subsequent breaking of them.

He went on th say it's great that Judge Merchan is clamping down on trump early on, giving him no leeway
"His conduct in the courtroom is really very demonstrative, and very emotional at times, and I actually don't think he has a complete ability to control himself."

The global elite are trying to execute a killing blow against President Trump. I've seen very little about it posted, so I'm here to tell you all the truth. Mods, can we sticky this post? Everyone here needs to stop what they are doing right now and read this post.
The merger of DWAC and Truth Social is going to go down as one of the most important mergers in history. For those of you who don't know, this created the stock ticker DJT. This is huge, it would be like if Disney and Facebook merged together. This has added billions of dollars to President Trump's wealth, the guy just can't stop making money. This has the DS panicking, so they're trying to tank his stock. Just over the last few days, it has dropped over 30% in value, which is absolutely insane for a company like this. It is being heavily suppressed.
Without being overly dramatic, pedes, this is our moment! Many people said Game Stop was a once in a lifetime opportunity, but it is here again. Wallstreet is shorting shares of DJT, and they are trying to drive them into bankruptcy, just like they have done with several of President Trumps other companies, but it is going to be different this time. Pedes own the float. If we buy enough stocks, then this will force all the short sellers to buy back the shares at whatever price we set. As of writing this post, DJT stock is selling at $22.84 a share which is an absolute steal. President Trump wanted us to be able to buy the stock so much, that on Monday they announced that they were selling an additional 21.49 million shares of DJT. Right now Meta stock (Facebook) is trading for $500 a share. I expect that DJT shares will double or even tripple that value in the next two or three years. My house was paid off, but earlier this month I decided to open a mortgage on it and spend every last penny in DJT at $62 a share. These last few weeks have been really tough, and my wife is really upset, but I believe that America will be great again. I've told my wife that this isn't about us, but about serving our country. President Trump has suffered, and continues to suffer so much for us, I think the least we can do is invest. If we all buy more shares in DJT, then the plan will backfire on the DS so hard that they won't be able to recover, and we will be filthy rich.
So pedes, are you willing to stand up to the corruption? Are you willing to lend a hand and start draining the swamp? Are you ready for the next revolution? If we all just buy at least a few shares, that will help stabilize the price, secure President Trump's base for the election, and ultimately secure our own future

trump really won't like this.
MSNBC's Jonathan Lemire said allies are concerned about the "physical toll" on trump having to work a full day 9-5 and sit through court and dozing off. "there's concern in Trumpworld about the physical toll this will take on him."
But we saw this with the second EJC trial. He tried to do court and rallies for the Primaries and it really affected him. 2 hours late to rallies, tired, slurring, foot dragging.
