Just some European bloke said you won't get getting into the EU, quite so easily.
Meh.... but what does he know.

We really aren't going to be joining the Euro.
Why so sure?

Who said I won't be getting in the EU? I already am and so are the scots. Lets face it, after Salmon has ruined relation ships with the UK his only hope is the EU. The EU will be happy with this as they wont have to give any rebate to an oil rich nation like Scotland.

There is no logic for doing so, it would be a crazy thing for the UK to join the Euro as has already been seen by the problems to date. Now ok, I can't be sure, but every economist and everyone of note at the BoE is a million miles away from thinking it would be a good move.

The BoE has a vested interest in staying ouyt and can hardly offer any un biased opinion.

I don't think we will get a choice, give it a few years and the Europeans will start to insist.

So what happens during the different timings of rUK joining the euro and Scotland joining it?

Clearly it will really shaft Scottish businesses overnight they will have another layer of cost added which will push some businesses bust.
Conversely it would benefit rUK as we would buy from within rUK as it would be cheaper.

Of course we get a choice, nobody has any power to force it to happen. Equally there is no logic for us to do it. Other European countries are more jealous of our staying out of it than anything else.
