I'm all for it.

Maybe it would provide a check on our forever expanding authoritarian Government.

They would be less inclined to take our freedoms away?

So - ban smoking and legalise guns.

Interesting views to say the least.

Of course, guns can be legally owned in the UK so why do you need to "legalise" them.

If you are so keen on governments being less authoritarian, how come you want smoking banned - by the government?

Erm:

1). Wouldn't it be much, much easier, and actually quicker, just to vote them out on Thursday?

2). You want a government to legalise guys just so that you can have an armed uprising against the said same government? Erm.

I just had to check the law.

I'm right, they are still legal.

We've got the tightest gun laws in the world.

You need a good reason. Self-defense is not good enough.

No we haven't. In some countries, outside of the military, all gun ownership is illegal.

No I think they're talking about guys with fire coming out of their arms, legalise them that's what I say. I'm all for new tech.

There are some restrictions on firearms which could be reduced.

What do you want legalised? Guns for self-defence only, so 9mm handguns and maybe shotguns, or assault rifles, concealed carry permits etc etc?

No, but the interpretation of them in modern-day America is.
