What a stupid statement. Do you get a grant for idiocy? If not, apply for an irony grant; because an East Anglia resident calling others "trash" certainly checks off the qualifications chart.

Unless i'm missing the irony, that's a pretty wide ranging statement to make and one that is massively incorrect.

It differs by State. Each State has laws regarding how candidates qualify to appear on a ballot.
Are you sure? I thought that to be President one must be a US Citizen, as part of the Constitution?

(I agree that Senator/Governors need not be US Born BUT I thought there was law whic required the President to be - there is an old joke that the yanks will change their constitution so they can have the Terminator as the President).

That is indeed a Constitutional requirement. However, each State is responsible for their own election laws (which is why, for example, you have hanging chads in South Florida and electronic voting in Cali, etc)

In order to appear on the STATE ballot, the candidate has to qualify under State law, which may have their own requirements to prove eligibility to conform with the US Constitution. For instance, one State may just require a notarized declaration from the candidate's party or and affidavit from the candidate. Another State may require documentation (such as a certificate of live birth or a passport)

The Constitution does set the guidelines but enforcement of the guidelines is delegated to the States. The Feds only get involved when there is "voting irregularities", etc.

So the yanks don't like the thought of having a non-American president, but are happy for Arnie to govern California?

I know it's not quite the same thing, but it does make you wonder whether it's racially motivated.
The question of race appears on the certificate. Is that the case on British certificates?

This issue was around during his election campaign but it wasn't given that much coverage..

Its arisen again because Trump is allegedly going to run for president against Obama. Apparently Trump has set a load of PI's to find out "the truth".

Imagine it, President Trump. Still I guess President Palin would be worse..
Trump is the only idiot who has been going on about this in recent times. Even the usual morons, Limbaugh, Bachman, Beck etc.. gave up on it ages ago.

Trump will not run but boy I wish he would. An easier target could not be found.

Interestingly "Trump" is English slang for breaking wind through the anus. Very appropriate. President Fart anyone?

An anus perhaps, but, to be fair, a self-made billionaire anus. He's the epitome of the American Dream, "work hard, get rich" so full credit to him.

Two other things;

One of his wives was called Ivana. Ivana Trump

His daughter is sex on very long legs.

I thought he inherited millions from the estate of his Dad?

Utter cock.

He inherited it all from his Dad and if old Fred had carried on and was still alive he'd be worth much more than Anus.

Incorrect how? I find it a bit humorous that, while sniping me, no one has taken the poster to task I was responding to for his "similar" statement. smile

The advance planning on this conspiracy was brilliant and very far ranging, even to the publication of his birth announcement in two Hawaii newspapers at the time!. The announcement of Obama's birth appeared in the Honolulu Advertiser on August 13, 1961, and a day later in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin: “Mr. And Mrs. Barack H. Obama, 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy., son, Aug. 4.

Clever,clever people.
read this mental link (from the Moonies newspaper)

starts out about the birth cert being fake, but then goes into him being part of a Time Travelling CIA conspiracy (seriously)

I didn't feel the need, i generally thought anyone who lumped all americans into one basket was deemed either a troll or stupid, whereas you're a man on normal mental capacity so i felt the need to enquire as to why you took that stance.
