With all due respect and you're clearly knowledgeable on the convenience of the travel aspect, I don't think that you can dismiss opposition to Boris Island as NIMBYism or whinging. It would be a massive undertaking in every way and to suggest that the concerns of people living in that area are merely whinging is understating the case tremendously. No-one would want an airport on their doorstep. Would you? Well, actually, given how much you travel, you might want one on your doorstep.
