Nothing high about it, the former and current prime minister have already had that covered.
Is a FPN a criminal conviction?
An FPN isn't a conviction, but it is the result of an alleged criminal offence.
Ask the PM... he's got a couple.
Good point, there's a whole thread on this, I think the consensus seemed to be that an FPN was to be treated the same as a Criminal Conviction.

Even though there's no criminal conviction involved, that makes sense.

IMO it makes it worse when the FPN is for breaking rules you were involved in creating.

It demonstrates a “fk You” attitude.

Politicians need to be better than that regardless of flavour

Apparently she is now to be questioned under caution. Interesting times lay ahead.

Yep, it only shows how desperate the Tories and their headbangers are... Especially when it amounts to nothing and they've wasted loads of money on it.

But evidentley not a barrier to holding ministerial office.

Unfortunately. Politicians, like police, must show as above and beyond.

Any Joe or Jo with a FPN for e.g. 25 in a 20 doesn't even register compared to Boris's Covid stuff. Not even post-Brunstrom.

No but potential tax evasion, electoral fraud, obtaining a council property by deceit or misinformation don’t align to her high ethical standards when calling for others to resign.

Mark my words this one’s a can of worms, to address one area opens up another, it’s akin to checkmate in a chess game. If it was simple it’d already have been resolved…..

Even in general I agree that politicians making our laws should be scrupulous in following them, if AR has indeed been naughty in the above ways, yes it's serious.

FPN’s are issued for plenty of non criminal offences

It’s a Judicial Disposal, a solved or detected “crime” regardless of whether it is reportable or recordable or even a crime and counts as such on the stats

I don’t usually agree with this clown, but on this occasion he is spot on.

It's gross.

But sadly some people can't help themselves.
