Fascinating if true They are being very open it seems and have tried to find fault.

Not holding any breath but..?

If this were true then it would suggest the Theory of Relativity is incorrect.

I think it more probable that the results will prove to be rogue.

Quarks are strange but neutrinos are weird, they even deleted my post at no charge.

There seems to be quite a lot of talk from a lot of very intelligent people looking at what has happened, no one has an answer yet.

Very interesting find though.

Can any nuclear physicist in the building comment on the energy of the neutrinos and SME Lorentz-violating oscillations?

I can't remember the name of the Nuclear Physicist on here, but there definitely is one.

I was reading a report earler from one of the CERN physicists, and was about how the neutrinos have attained these speeds. He said they were remapped.

Probably left the building - to measure neutrino transit times.

Why is this topic grouped up with politics?

Politics and politicians imparticular are about lies and deception
Religion is about denial
And Science is about truth...

Haven't they shown that certain particles* can be in 2 places at the same time. Also that certain particles* can appear from nothing and disappear as quick.

It is a complicated world and my only sadness is that this is the beginning of a great future for science with the last 5 centuries spent on relgion, maybe now id the time for science.

  • don't know the correct term.

Ive suhgested a science subforum before for all the space science, and all that sort of stuff, but they seem to want to put that sort of thing in with the boats and planes section, (clearly the obvious place for it all).

Virtual particles are the ones that come and go. Nothing is no longer nothing anymore. Google 'A universe from Nothing' by Lauwrence Krauss... Very good talk.

Neutrinos gone a bit faster than they woz supposed to be able to, and would win a race between light, and themselves. The gold medalliats of the tiny little things world.
