‎'Police said it was "incredible" that the boy-driver (13) had managed to cross two international borders and filled up with petrol twice without anyone en route raising the alarm'

Give him a licence. He has earned it on merit.

Go-cart? What that might be then, some kind of shopping trolley?

Ps. The Russians, Lebanese, Italians and Yahoo news linked on the BBC page all managed to spell it properly.

Meh, plenty of pie-quay kids of that age in the UK who have driven further in a Transit dropside towing a caravan whilst chain smoking. . . . . .

last time i passed those borders there was no one there to check who goes in or out. so i see no surprise.
besides most 13 year old now look a lot older than when i was that age.

I got driven by a ten year old taxi driver in dahab ,Egypt many years ago,he had two wooden blocks attached by string to his feet to reach the pedals.
He was also the best taxi driver I encountered in Egypt.

The bit about crossing international borders made me laugh. Evidently they've not heard of Schengen...

Actually, I hope they string the little fker up. Nicking a car and trying to drive thousands of miles to Poland, he's a fking Mong who appears to have little concept of right and wrong. He's old enough to know better.

Is there something you need to tell the group about?

Have to say I'm surprised at the support on here for an underage, unlicensed and uninsured driver in a stolen car! The circumstances are immaterial, he is of an age where he knew that what he was doing was wrong, against the law and presumably against the wishes of his parents!

A car thief is a car thief. He got off this time, but he put other road users at risk. Nothing at all to be complemented for. If this was a story from liverpool most on here would be foaming at the mouth.

Yep nobody cares or looks. Only way you know you are in another country is a sign.

Support is due to him driving 1000km without crashing, getting stopped, or generally making a tit of himself by breaking traffic rules. More than most 13 year olds would manage.
