and US drones just drop cuddly toys on civilians? Some of the UK press have been in propaganda overdrive in the last few days, however the comment sections prove that the public are no longer duped as easily.So maybe not such a great result after all ?
e.g.
- why are the same two crying children always shown on TV?
- rebels(Al Qaeda et al) say 1300 dead, MSF (well known charity) say 300+ , British press go with the Al Qaeda 1300 figure.

Presumably the indiscriminate car bombs in city centres, suicide bombers in libraries and colleges and the systematic slaughter of Christian, Kurdish and Alawite towns is fine?That is your issue, my friend not mine....

They were prepared to let 100,000 die, what's changed all of a sudden? How is being gassed or napalmed really any worse than being torn apart by shrapnel?BTW All of a sudden nothing actually changed, the UK / Fr & US have trying to sanction the Syrian Govt for over 2 years, but the use of chemical weapons is almost the last straw.
Where we put the line doesn't really matter ( Nuclear / Death Camps / Ethnic cleansing ), but having a line, I think is a good thing, no ?

i think its a great vote.
the gb public is very war weary and i feel the usa public will be the same.
the blame of this doesnt go to syria, cameron or obama. the blame for the public's lack of desire lies at the feet of bush and blair and for their actions 10 years ago. yes bosnia was a great cause to go for but iraq wasnt and now more people will continue to suffer from the fallout from the decisions those men made.

I don't even know if letting the "free Syrian army" get the upper hand is the morally right thing to do. The last thing the world needs is another muslim brotherhood state.
Keep out of it I say, as painful as it will be to watch. As Cameron said earlier, with all nations keeping out of the situation, al-Assad will likely use the nerve agents again.
Assuming it was the government that was responsible for the attack in the first place, but that's my own pessimistic conspiracy theory.

Great. Rebels have used gas. Do you want hem bombing as well?But if you are asking me if the use of Chemical Weapons by any side should be stopped, I would say yes.
I think a fair few people have assumed that I take a position on either side, I am not, I'm just saying this is watershed moment in the escalation of his conflict that can not be ignored ?
