So we had a poll started four months ago about Brexit voting and the results as at today look like this -

This vote is the same as the last one but we are into the last couple of weeks now so it's a fresh chance to see if things have changed. I sense that the "Stay" campaign have scared a lot over to their side but I'm wondering if the PH voters have been persuaded?

There's already (plenty of) threads for comments and reasons, this one is mostly about the votes but please post "voted" or "I love Boris" or something to keep the thread bumped for a few of days.

I'm honestly not sure what the remain arguement is, other than maintaining the status quo. Whatever uncertainty surrounds leaving, at least it will be something we can influence and control. If we stay we're on a bus someone else is driving.

Bump. Who's planning to stay up to watch the result come in?

70% leave 19% stay from 47 votes as I write. 9 people want to stay. I'll be happy enough if that is the result on the day!

I am going too. Bags of snacks, maybe a few tinnies and the following day off work.

I think you'll find we won't know the result for about 24 hours. All votes must be counted, this isn't a first past the post general election type thing where most constituencies always vote the same and a small number of swing votes control it

Even the exit polls won't tell you too much. Unless they have exit polls all over the country in every town and village

I also don't think PH is a representative slice of British society so no sure the point either

how are they doing the count and results? I understand its a straight numbers game rather then a General election type count.

is it a live count/a live feed of the numbers as they come in? ie that at every hour they publish how many have been counted and the voting numbers of how many have so far voted for stay or leave?

Still interesting to see the movement in opinion, if any.

If i am made redundant there is a good chance i will be off that week anyway, so can stay up to watch it.

Outcome may effect future employment (both good and bad smile )

And they're only going to play acoustic gigs in future.

In 1975 they came in by constituency I think, so was hoping it would be similar. If they wait 24 hours to release the final result in one hit it's bound to fuel the conspiracy theories!

PH seems to have a lean towards Brexit and so it is obvious that starting another poll will reflect that. I assume the person starting this poll knew this, is a Brexiter, and thought this would somehow support a point they wanted to make.

I was wondering about this. Presumably they will be counted in the same constituency locations that they would in the General Election?

I don't think so.

That is my understanding too. Results will be drip fed as constituencies results are counted. The timings are anticipated to be closely aligned to results from general elections although turnover figures may delay results if they are high.

The counting process will start at 10.00pm on Thursday 23 June 2016 as the polls close. Individual counting areas will start declaring totals in the early hours of Friday morning but it is unlikely that the official UK total will be officially declared until several hours later.

another forum I am on has it as

stay - 50%
might stay - 11%
not sure - 13%
might leave - 6%
leave - 20%

to be fair the forum is somewhat more left leaning so not a total surprise
