Would they send his belongings with him? What if he had property? A car?

I'd vote for any party that would enact the same laws.

"Booo!"
"He has human rights!"
"Empathy!"

May as well get them in now and wait for the echo from the snow flakes. Can you imagine the outcry if it happened in this country?!

Im a traditional tory, but even I think that's a tad extreme. A UK governed by Boris or corbyn would have me feeling satanic towards our countries flag, as a passing comment.... It's hardly threatening king & country...

French media published some of the expulsion order, which said the imam had promoted a "retrograde, intolerant, and violent image of Islam, likely to encourage behaviour contrary to the values of the Republic".

It said his teachings encouraged discrimination against women, "tensions with the Jewish community" and "jihadist radicalisation". According to the order, he had also referred to Jewish people as "the enemy".

Sets a good example.

I wonder which bits of 1400 year old text he quotes to support the preachings and teachings?

Let's face it, they have to be there.....

The UK needs to follow France on this.

A lot of you crusty old fkers are the first ones I throw out. It'd vastly reduce the amount of pub bore.

Relax mate, it's just a bit of banter. Making fun of you but still banter like the good old days.

Which would no doubt cause us to follow the French level of unrest and violence.

but it is nutjobs like that, with a platform, that cause the unrest.
I don't think the law goes far enough and it should apply to all his family members too.

That’s a bit reserved; surely anyone he’s touched, spoken to, or looked at too? You’re mellowing Julian

He’s also a farmer? It didn’t mention that anywhere in the article.

The article headline is a bit misleading. The article itself says that the expulsion order:

"said the imam had promoted a "retrograde, intolerant, and violent image of Islam, likely to encourage behaviour contrary to the values of the Republic. It said his teachings encouraged discrimination against women, "tensions with the Jewish community" and "jihadist radicalisation". According to the order, he had also referred to Jewish people as "the enemy".

For me it seems reasonable for him to be required to leave.
