My boss has just told me that there are going to be protests against capatilism going on ( I know the date but don't want to post incase of publicising it for the greenies) Are others in the city aware of this? Aparently last time it happened there was a lot of violence against anyone in a suit.

Been pretty well reported on for a few weeks. Due to coincide with G20 IIRC.
Not too worried TBH!

I wouldn't worry, these things are usually pretty well policed. The worst thing that happens is someone lobs a brick through the window of MacDonalds...

While we’re at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability, interest rates, growth. It’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes. Alright? It’s only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you’re not lying in your own st, dying at 43 with rotten teeth. A little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that. Now come on… fk off.

I have always fancied setting up a stand during these riots and selling anti-capitalism T-Shirts, horns, banners etc.

Should be quite a money spinner I reckon.

I own the global rights, you can buy a franchise off me if you like...

To the OP - violence against anyone in a suit is bit of an exageration. Plus it's hippy violence, doesn't really count.

So who are these protesters? Communists, socialists or the great unwashed who'd protest about a the sun going down if it got them some TV airtime and some new hemp shoes?

Fecking soap dodgers. So eager to tell us all how we are doing things so badly, yet are the last to actually do anything productive themselves!

Bring one of those giant airport fire tenders with a tank full of Palmolive - see them run a mile.....

Apart from the first couple of 'reclaim the streets' they're all a bit of a damp squib really, aren't they?

Didn't that lot invade some trading bank and get the st kicked out themselves by the (post-liquid-lunch) "barrow boys"?

That struck me as hilarious...

Hehe. I was working round Cannon Street in the good ol' days. They set both escalators near the entrance to 'downhill mode' .. cue Swampy and Co trying to scrabble up the escalators and battling with LIFFE people at the top. laugh
