Gordon Ramsey - is he losing the plot?

First he sacked his FIL over rumours of his businesses struggling, he's backed out of restaurants in the States and now this.

Why would you publish an open letter in the standard to a family member? Seems a bit weird if you ask me.

Yes he appears to be up his own arse but he is a self made man and seems to have done well for himslef. I know that being British it's traditional to slate those who have done well in life but i won't be, good luck to him.

If you want to see him losing the plot there was an interview on some chat show where he was asked why he doesn't cook in any of his restaurants, he didn't take it lightly .

I wonder how much investment he lost because proper businesses didn't like him barking every time they offered an alternative point of view.

I suppose he is trying to present a human side rather than the swearing, ranting bit he does in some programs. He is a TV chef, its all about how the public perceve him, he is trying to use the situation to up his profile.

To be fair to him though he's only responding to a two page interview which his Father in Law gave to the Wail on Sunday a couple of weeks ago. If his father in law wanted to keep things low key and in the family then giving a fairly in depth newspaper interview was hardly a good way to start. You can hardly blame Gordon Ramsay for giving as good as he got.

^Agree. Ramsays letter was hardly a rant either.

(Subjectively, I find it's all a bit of a shame because Mrs Digga and I had one of the most enjoyable lunches ever at his place in Chelsea.)

How can a) he give advice on running restaurants when he's 18million in debt? b) How the fark do you get 18 Million in debt and think your business plan is all good.
