David Cameron criticised over John Bercow dwarf joke

David Cameron was accused by campaigners today of breaking the law by cracking an ''appalling'' joke comparing Commons Speaker John Bercow to one of the Seven Dwarfs.

A charity which helps people with primordial dwarfism and other forms of restricted growth said the comments were a form of harassment - and called for talks with the Prime Minister.

In a dig at Mr Bercow - believed to be 5ft 6in tall - Mr Cameron said that health minister Simon Burns's driver had accidentally hit the Speaker's car while reversing. When Mr Bercow said he was "not happy" about the incident, Mr Cameron quipped to journalists at a Westminster lunch yesterday that Burns retorted: "So which one are you?".............................

Of course. I'd love to meet with you, but I'm a busy man so it will have to be a short meeting.

They'll have to talk loudly or he'll struggle to hear

Pleasure, Soov. Although I'm slightly disappointed that the bit you're taking to meetings is "in addition" rather than "bellends".

Bellends is common parlance, mate.

Perhaps he could somehow use the phrase "That charity for short people can fk right off!" during a meeting with clients today?

That would be entertaining. hehe

I also liked Cameron supporting the Cricket Team and then saying something along the lines of "and as Freddie won't be here perhaps we can have a drink too"................

He seems to have a pretty fine sense of humour and is happy to take the p**s.

That so-called charity only has seven members!

I think that any request to discuss this with the PM will be given short shrift!

Don't know what they're moaning about.

Normally these sorts of comments go right over their heads.
