In summary,

Guy cheats benefit system out of £34k, and gets 2 months unpaid work as a punishment. WTF, £17k per month - is he going to be a investment banker as community service?


Am I missing something here - or will he have to pay back the benefits too?

If he drops a bit of litter he will go down for 2 years (reduced to 1 for good behaviour) if he's caught.

More imaginative, but I doubt he is sorry for what hes done. May be sorry he was caught out.
