Misinformation on EU Referendum
Discussion
The level of misinformation on the run up to the EU Referendum from both sides is stagerring, but this takes the biscuit: Britain to be forced to drive on right if UK people vote to stay in EU.
From the proper thread..

The next step in the gradual erosion of sovereignty...

EU ID cards in 5... 4...
Those plans are clearly fabrications intended to scare people into voting Leave. Remainians have told us it's simply status quo in the EU, what could possibly change or go wrong? In any case, CMD has already saved us. Three cheers for our saviour.
Or as somebody posted after that item....
EU's four-stage strategy to reduce Britons to servitude
Stage One is mock-incredulity:
"No one is proposing any such thing. It just shows what loons these sceptics are that they could even imagine it."
Stage Two is bravado:
"Well all right, it's being proposed, but don't worry: we have a veto and we'll use it."
Stage Three is denial:
"Look, we may have signed this, but it doesn't really mean what the critics are claiming."
Stage Four is resignation:
"No point complaining now, old man: it's all been agreed."

Having ears to the ground in Brussels I've heard rumours (and I said rumours!) that the EU commies wants GB to give up Gib, the Channel Islands and all overseas territories (incl Flaklands) to the EUSSR so that these commies can return them ro their "rightful owners"!!!!
I do hope it's BS otherwise I can see a war coming.....
That is just so wrong I don't even know where to start with it.I do hope it's BS otherwise I can see a war coming.....
Firstly it's complete lies. Secondly it sounds like the comments made by a rabid frothing xenophobe as some kind of reason to vote out.
Just bizarre.

We don't even own them so aren't in a position to give them up to anyone.

Regarding our overseas territories - regardless of the legality and likelihood of it happening, make no mistake that the powers that be in the EU *would love* to force us to relinquish these territories.
I'd love to see the evidence of thiszbc said:

I'd love to see the evidence of thisBack in reality none of that can happen.

It's precisely because some people lack vision on such matters that they are deluded into thinking REMAINING is a sensible choice, and they don't understand that loss of sovereignty is a very real issue.

The only misinformation is your post which fails to admit that your link is to a spoof site.Nobody is proposing that we drive on the right.
This thread is just a strawman.

I'd love to see the evidence of thisYour link just shows that Spain has commercial interests in Argentina that it can improve if it agrees with them on a subject where it knows we will ignore them. Sounds like good politics by the Spaniards.

Of course it can, the UK is acquiescing power/rights/property to the EU all the time, it's a thousand tiny steps, a thousand insignificant regulations/laws, until we are powerless to resist. The EU is boiling the UK like a frog in a beaker, blissfully unawares.

Substitute "lizard people" for "EU" and I'd be right with you, brother. In fact that's what you meant, isn't it? You're speaking in a careful code so that the Reptilians don't notice. Clever! And people say we're mental, but we're the only ones who know what's really going on. That's the US one, I think you mean https://fullfact.org ? I have attempted to find some lizard based conspiracy behind Full Fact, but it seems like a genuine charity running on genuine donations with no political agenda.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
