Farage makes a good speech.
He seems to talk sense in the youtube vids I've seen of him speaking in the Euro parliament.
Funnily enough, having started this thread applauding last night's PPB, his performance this morning, just before 7am on the Today Programme, was considerably less well assured. He seems to talk sense in the youtube vids I've seen of him speaking in the Euro parliament.
Given the Party's growth from single issue drum-bangers to the full political portfolio they peddle today, it was disappointing that he was unable to answer the 'bread and butter' question of what the UK pulling out of Europe would actually look like.

A vote fr UKIP isn't a vote for labour, it's a vote for UKIP,
I'm afraid it is. UKIP are not going to win an election so all it does is probably engineer another hung parliament. Esseesse said:

Thanks for the heads up, just listened to this now.He was fine, the interviewer was a dick and deliberately mistook totally reasonably well made points.
"Freedom of trading, but not freedom of movement of people... I don't understand" - err what is there to understand?

I also thought that singling out the Poles was rather bad form: makes it too easy for the 'BNP in suits' accusations to be maintained and was certainly a stance which would reduce their appeal to many outside of the Sun audience. Was certainly the wrong thing to say on R4.He was fine, the interviewer was a dick and deliberately mistook totally reasonably well made points.

UKIP have, and always will have my vote.
They are the party of common sense, and the UK's only hope for the future
As you are motoring enthusiasts, their 2012 Manifesto states
We will
Let the people decide on local transport infrastructure
by calling binding referendums.
Reopen local railway lines where needed.
Preserve way-leaves of disused railway lines in
case they are needed again.
Halt widespread over-zealousness in parking
enforcement.
Remove all speed cameras, except those proven to
reduce accidents or demanded by the community.
Provide free parking at all hospitals.
Oppose HS2 (High Speed Rail 2).
Protect free parking for Blue Badge holders.
Protect rural bus services.
To pay for these commitments
We will
Tax foreign lorries using British roads.
Ensure that road maintenance is more efficient
through better, more competitive tendering
Seems very good to me.
UKIP are a serious party, i think 3rd most popular now growing daily.

That list is enough to put me off entirely. It is a combination of soundbite politics and pure socialism. They are the party of common sense, and the UK's only hope for the future

UKIP to me stand for government that is closer to and controlled by the citizens. Referenda on transport infrastructure is a bit of a strange thing to say, but since it won't happen anyway, I can take it to mean that UKIP won't be spending billions of pounds on a high speed rail link through my back garden without at least asking me first.
Arguably, are you best placed to decide on the merits of such a scheme?AshVX220 said:
