This is my first post in here, some interesting stuff.
I can just remember the beginning of the Thatcher/Major Government and can clearly recall it's end.
My point is, I seem to recall it finishing in a vaguely comedic fashion with sleazy MPs getting caught at all sorts of dubious behaviour.
This lot however seems to be much, much worse. Every day they are screwing something up; databases getting lost, MOD spending cuts having appaling outcomes, the NHS spiralling out of control and general uselessness to tackle any aspect of government properly.
What do people think, is this goverment really going out in more of a mess than usual?

Whoever made the comment about the media jumping on the Major Govt.'s back was spot on.
I have been saying for years that the media is running this country.
Does anyone think an incoming Government will have the stones to actually fly in the face of what the Guardian/BBC wants?
