Are you paying cash or finance? If you intend to take delivery on Saturday I would say you are indeed leaving it very late for setting up a finance agreement.

You will generally sign the agreement on collection, however the application would need to be approved which can take an hour or it can take a couple of days. All depends on various factors, time of submission and things like getting your ID etc.

Certainly we got called in a few days before getting a new VW on PCP to sign the docs. Seems pretty normal.

Do you intend to let the PCP run? We only took it to get the deposit contribution and the other incentives the salesman offered and then we withdrew after delivery. It might be important to note that you have 14 days to withdraw and I believe it's 14 days from signing, not taking delivery.
