Limited edition coins
Discussion
My wife ordered one of the Peter Rabbit coloured 50p coins that were sold by the Royal Mint last month. It was a run of 30k coins which was made because there was so much demand for the 15k run of the same type of coin in 2016.
The website was over capacity when she ordered - it told her twice that the order failed, and third time it worked.
Today three coins turned up...
They were £60 each.
The 2017 coins are currently selling (actually sold) on eBay for about £105 and the 2016 for about £500.
Should we hang on to the "extra" two until next year and hope they go up in value as well? Or is the £100 price now worth selling for?
