Is that a full set of vintage Le Creuset saucepans? Others may think it gross, but I would clean and keep!
Not sure if they are actual LC. Might get them re enameled though as they are lovely smile
The pans and the stand are almost identical to a set I have had for thirty years except mine are blue. The LC name and Made in France are cast in a circle on the underside.

What a fantastic buy. I grew up in Kinver and now live near Kingswinford. As a child we explored so many places and it's surprising just how many rock caves there are in the area. I bet the NT (Kinver) would be able to give you some advice on restoring the caves if you needed it.

The top of the garden of my parent's house used to be a popular picnic spot prior to the land being purchased and we were forever digging up glass bottles. The local antiques shop used to pay us a few quid for our finds biggrin

I suspect the masks are porcelain my old dear used to make them in the 90's, ultimately they may be worth £15-20 each if you can find someone, can't hurt putting them on eBay as a job lot, might pay for some tools etc

Loving the thread btw, amazing place

Thanks for all the positive feedback all, and advice. Very much appreciated.

Does anyone know anything about China? I’ve found a whole load of stuff (large serving platters and dishes) in the cave all marked with this….

The pattern to the fronts is like;

I think it's Shelley Orange/Yellow Iris - pattern number 12382 as it shows.

This lot will likely be able to help: https://shelley.co.uk/

Edit to add - looks like it's from late thirties to end of ww2 if this US site is right: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/shelley-iri...

Thanks all,

Quiet day today. Had a mooch through the cave to see what “treasures” I can find. Brought some back to clean up.

Happy to post if anyone is interested in some oldish pottery… happy not to bother if no one is arsed smile

Not a prob

So, unearthed and retrieved so far are

and

marked as

Then there was a fair bit of this, but not a full set

Including this, which I think is lovely!

Nearly a full set of these; missing a cup which may or not turn up…

Marked as

Some of these;

Marked as

And some funky pieces that I really like, such as

Also rescued these Le Creuset casserole dishes from under the sink in the kitchen laugh

And found these (I think) quite funky bone china tea cups…

Hoping to have the caves fully emptied this week, will update accordingly and get the first actual pics of their internals and cooking facilities…

Cheers all

May be worth getting a local auctioneer in to value the lot and see if you can get some half decent return.
