I really don't understand the whole jealousy comments... I love my place and am happy with that, people can afford bigger/better etc and good luck to them. I think that they key is to be content, got that and half the battle is won wink

Not exactly a hovel though, is it? smile
Yeah, like you live in a st hole! smile
yup - and my last house was an end of terrace, the ones before that were mid-terrace and I felt the same about those as well. I was content and that's all that mattered

On the basis there's some stunning motors on this forum wouldn't it be a tad surprising if the owners all lived in sheds? To be fair i've only looked back 10 pages or so and haven't seen negative comments only people wondering why others would leave them and some stunning pads!

My place doesn't hold much clout compared to others, but I'm glued to this section at the moment as we have a hell of a lot of work to do!

Meh, I'm not where I am by accident if people want to be jealous fine, but I started with nothing, if you are bothered about having less its not my fault you do.

Just waiting for the plans to come through to get the renovation project going but here it is. Build thread up soon I hope.

Is it on it's own island ?

I've always wanted an island, regardless it's great - even just with a tent on it !
It's a Peninsula but has a long narrow lane to access it. So if we were to enter a Zombie apocalypse type scenario, it's pretty much perfect.
ah but zombies will just walk along the lake bed (not needing to breathe and all) and clamber back out onto dry land. Your plan is fail

yikes

Wait a minute! I see bubbles...... scratchchin

Agreed.

When I see someone who is where I want to be, I'm pleased for them and pissed off at myself!

Last year we found a 10yo estate tucked away in the countryside with a 5-bed house for sale that was a decent-size upgrade from our last 4-bed house. Truth is, the double garage was my main requirement because I'd like another Caterham one day. But that aside, it's a lovely quiet area with about 25 houses on one side of the road (our estate), about 30 random houses on the other side of the road, a decent pub 80 yards from our front door and miles and miles of fields all around.

The field right next to our driveway often has horses roaming around in it. It now costs us an extra couple of quid a week on our shopping bill to buy carrots for them but I think both the horses and kids get something out of it.
