That’s one of the original ones!
I’m sure in a year or so it will all be sanded and done again to be perfect, but I’d say you’ve done a great job there, what a transformation!
Well spotted and thanks smile

Been busy on it recently, gutters up, drains in, started on the decking. It's decking rather than stone as there needs to be airflow to the vents that go under the house. The gutters I used are Lindab metal ones, great product to work with, highly recommended. Trying to get the decking all done before our big annual BBQ at the end of the month.

Had a slight set back when the building inspector came, despite the fact I'd pre-tested the pressure on the drains the test just wouldn't work on the day! I had to scrape out the gravel and found that one of the adjustable angle pipes was causing the problem so I've replaced that now. Got a retest tomorrow, wish me luck!

Building inspector was very pleased with the rest of the build though smile

Here's how the deck is coming on, I've made up a table too.

Well I'm pleased to say that the pressure test worked this time biggrin That's three out of four inspections done now, just the final one to go!

Any pics of the finalised decking area?
Sorry for the late reply. I took a break from the work on the house during the summer holidays as I was ignoring the family. It is done now though. Finished insulating the inside too, just need to finish taping to seal it all. Will be pushing on now to try and get this done, maybe bringing in a few trades to speed things up. I'd like to get done by Christmas.

A bit more progress. Fitted all the sills that go under and over the wood cladding. I had to have all these made up, had them painted the same RAL colour as the guttering. Also started battening the house for the cladding.

More progress, that insulated plasterboard is heavy to get on the roof on your own and then screw in!

Ready for plastering now.

Great work. Just a a quick look through.

There's some similarities in the house we moved into 10 months back,

  • Yellow bathroom check
  • Fiddly parquet floorings check

smile Good luck with your project. The house had good bones and a great location, just trying to make it as good as it can be now.

More progress on the cladding, miscalculated the wood though so waiting on some more to finish.

Some more progress. Electricians have been back but need another visit. Really pleased with the brass bulkhead lights. Track lights on the ceilings. Door frame in for the door between the kitchen and dining room. Paint stared, white is just a base coat.

In the theme of IT.....if only the cloud was an option, you wouldn’t have needed to do any of this on-prem hehe
Well done, it is looking great!

Cheers, appreciated biggrin

It's coming on now been a busy weekend. The plastering is all finished, I've levelled up the floors between the old and new ready for the tiler coming. Best of all though Oli the joiner has been and finally fitted the ships doors between the kitchen and dining room. I absolutely love these they are from the RMS Windsor Castle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Windsor_Castle_(...

I don't like extractor hoods on the wall taking up space so we are having a in line fan in the loft vented through a vent tile in the roof instead. Here is the ducting.

Here's the latest. Electric underfloor heating is just to take the edge off the tiles in the winter rather than heat the room.
