All of which I completely agree with. My DIY kitchens effort. Self install, never done one before. No errors, no omissions. 1/2 the price of Wrens 'best I can do but only if you order today and I'll have to check with my manager first' bo^*&cks.

Thanks.

I got my kitchen from magnet in chingford and it's as good as new 2 years later
Full price 24k, then half price, (of course) and in the end I paid 6k excluding work tops and appliances and fitting.
It was one of their more expensive kitchens though (astral blue or something like that)
how did u get it soo cheap ? Full price 24k, then half price, (of course) and in the end I paid 6k excluding work tops and appliances and fitting.

We had a very unfortunate experience with Wren 2 years ago.
Overall the quality of the unit was good and we used our own kitchen fitter. But the amount of cock up, bad customer service and wren washing their hand of everything was shocking.
We chased them for a year and eventually got £600 back after getting the furniture ombudsmen involved.

have heard such poor reviews of Wren i didn't even consider them when doing ours.
I looked at B&Q (know the product as used to work for them), Howdens (best friend works for them, and DIY Kitchens (get good reviews)
Planned and fitted, tiled, painted myself excluding the end panels and worktops as i just don't have the skills. T=
Including new sub floor, floor, ceilings, units, sink, worktops, appliances (all bosch) this came in at just over £6k.
whilst DIY stuff is of good quality (and arguably better than most) I've still got the odd issue where the laminate/paint has chipped on a couple of edges which i am currently talking to them about.

We've been treated awfuly by Magnet. We're currently arranging a full removal, refund and compensation for the damage the idiot fitter caused to our house. Ilegal wiring, open drains, not fitted to plan, damaged appliances, damaged units, lie after lie from the fitter and branch. Full price 24k, then half price, (of course) and in the end I paid 6k excluding work tops and appliances and fitting.

I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy!
We went to Wickes and Wren yesterday, got decent quotes in their never-ending sales, and am pleased with the supply-only quote from Wren. Their design service was excellent. Wren's fitting price was very high though - £4k to fit a 3m x 2.5m galley kitchen, 14 cabinets + dishwasher/washing machine/fridge-freezer/double oven.
Obviously landing on this thread today has caused me to have a bit of a wobble. Gonna have a look at some other options I think.

Used my own fitter too, which came in at 2k for rip out and fit of new, and tiling of floor and few other odd jobs
Happy with Wren, but did the fit myself.
They sent the wrong dishwasher, which I didn't notice until it was installed. Called them, they said sorry, sent the right dishwasher, told me to keep the other one and dispose of it myself.... i.e., they didn't want it back.
Got a brand new Bosch delivered a week later. Straight onto eBay, £230 in the hand.

Can anyone recommend a fitter in Warwickshire?
I've just cancelled my Wren order after awful customer service and now I'm thinking DIYKitchens like everyone else.
Made an appointment Monday for a visit on Sunday with wren, double checked it on the Saturday. Arrived Sunday to be told there was nobody available. Waited around until some guy would speak to us and he just kept going on about needing an appointment which I said we had made and double checked and he just kept raising his voice and saying "no!" And then had the gall to tell us not to bothe making appointments on Sundays ever again. I was willing to let it go as told the surveying chap would call me in the week. It's now 4 weeks later and absolutely nothing so called wren's head office and asked for a refund. After reading all the Facebook etc issues I think I may have dodged a bullet.

I went with magnet in the end
still not ordered but gonna pay 7k for kitchen/quartz engineered work top with dishwasher and washing machine
600 quid for new hob and extractor
Prices are meaningless without giving an idea of what you are getting. What size is the kitchen, what style is it in, what's included and what isn't.still not ordered but gonna pay 7k for kitchen/quartz engineered work top with dishwasher and washing machine

You may want to run a quote for the quartz separately.
I got mine from worktop warehouse in berkhampstead. Noone came close on the price Paul gave me. It was a fair amount of quartz - at guess 7 or 8 m in length of worktop, undermount sink, 100cm spashback for the cooker in matching quartz, up stands and a quartz windowsill and I think I paid 2.1k.
Do not use reemstone.
