We hired this to get a couple of RSJs around the back of a house.
13 ton machine with a massive reach.
Quickest and safest way of doing it. Bargain at around £600
I bunged the scaffolders £10ea to move the massive RSJs I had to install
Well done.

I have improved my idea slightly. There would be a stopper for the transporting device at the bottom of the hill. You allow enough speed on the descent so the oven simply slides off and lands smoothly onto the bouncy castle.
He's got enough to worry about without having to get rid of giant snails!

You're trying to tell me you can hire a 20t mobile crane + operator (driver) for an hour for £60? OK..

rofl
Yes. Yes we did.
Typically it was a 60Te' we'd use (as 20Te can lift chuff all at radius - perhaps a Pizza Oven) but Yes, same principle.
So- it was £180 to pop round the corner and do an hours lifting for us smile

Want Invoices or something?
"Pop round the corner" you say? Well that goes some way to explaining why it's so ridiculously cheap as they clearly didn't have anything better to do at the time. Now try to book a crane for the OPs job in whatever part of ruralshire he lives and see how far your £60 gets you. The crane would use that in diesel before it's even got 10 mile from the yard.

I demand PH sends a film-crew down the 29th, somehow 450kg oven, 6 blokes and a rather steep set of stairs sounds like a recipe for disaster excellent entertainment

Steps would be my concern as well. Weight shifting around etc. See if you can find a couple of extra bodies to help unless the six of you are PH directors.

I suspect this is going to be a huge anticlimax, with the op and three mates humping it down the stairs, piece of piss and eating pizza within an hour.

We need to cross-post this on the drone thread and get someone down there to hover and film.

As in the burly men eating pizza? I guess it's better than the alternative...

This thread is my favourite on here at the moment. Love the PH artwork and the giant snail. The trampoline/parachute suggestion had me chuckling too.

Wasn't there a thread on here a few months back about a chap who had a rack/winch railway or similar up to his house for delivering groceries etc?

IIRC a couple of kind PHers recommissioned the old system for him - they're the guys you want to build something similar down that slope to the final location smile

That looks awesome - but it seems completely random to have all that built-in and then have a mobile kettle barbecue sitting there!
I guess he likes cooking with charcoal too.

Currently the best thread on PH in my view. OP - we need pics of the resolution when it comes.
I misread "resolution" as "ambulance"
