Don't worry, my solicitor is advising me. As I am separating from my wife I have no one to bounce my thoughts off hence this thread.
The practicalities don't bother me too much but I don't see this house as a forever home and so want to avoid anything that could make it hard to sell on. Did I mention that it is next to the estate sewage pumping station as well

Not having freeholder consent for that stuff is probably not a huge issue - and most likely can be insured against via a cheap indemnity policy
