Apart from the purple/pink, it's quite a tidy house. You could tone it down quite quickly with some new cupboard door fronts and a lot of white paint..

I reckon that my current gaff might have made it on this thread.
I've just bought a house where the 'family' bathroom has a window into the living room corridor and a slipper bath in the middle that makes it almost impossible to get to the sink, kazi or bidet which are dotted in each corner.

And the kitchen is about 40 foot long but only about 10 foot of it is kitted out to the point you'd struggle to open a delivered pizza in it.

Utterly baffling and definitely features wholly apt for this thread.
I think we need pics

I'd forgotten about the stylish curtains!

You can see the window on the right of this pic and the tiny kitchen below:

I assume the window to the corridor is the only light that room gets. A little odd but then looks to be a quirky place. thumbup

Yup. The bathroom is at the rear corner of the original Victorian house and an extension has been wrapped around two sides of it and so now the bathroom is landlocked in the middle of the house.

In due course it will become my wife's shoe cupboard and one of the front bedrooms will become the family bathroom.

The kitchen is bafflingly small and producing a Sunday lunch is currently quite 'interesting' to say the least. They spent about £12k on the Aga and about 50p on a few cupboards to stick near it along with a sink you can barely wash a cup in.

But, it's a good hide and seek house which is the important thing.

Another popped up this morning on a search list in my local area...

Beyond being squeezed into a tiny plot look at the decor! (or lack of!)

I live just down the road from there - as you probably know a massive new development is being built just behind that house. So that will be pleasant to look at in the garden.cool
Indeed, very local myself (other side of Shortlands Station to that place). Some funny stories I've heard about that development but I'll save them for another day...
Interesting, I want to hear them ears

I'm just up from Shortlands Station myself thumbup

Longdon Wood, Keston Park

This is actually in a desirable estate but can't help thinking that you would be limited if teying to extend or knock down and re-build given the apparent narrow width.
Needs a bit of work too.

Loveley area though
it would be interesting to hear what developers might do with it

Issues U heard were to do with the groundworks, the initial slab wasn't cast to the correct specification. The result is that when they started constructing the core of the building the slab cracked and began to sink/tilt, although this was only discovered after a good few storeys had been cast when there was a fair bit of weight on the slab/foundations. Result was to start again...

Only heard second had via some local contractors/medium-scale developers but would explain why it's taken about double the amount of time expected to get to where it is currently and there are delays (was initially meant to be launched mid-late last year IIRC).

Good to see some others around though, I'm just over on The Avenue, if you see either a Blue Lotus Exige or Blue VW Scirocco (with PH smiley) give me a wave smile

Here's mine (from two years ago), the For Sale photos tell a very small part of the story of years of "neglect". There's a reason why many of the photos are from the outside and of the garden. This started off as a bungalow in the early/mid 60s and had two extensions added in the 70s. A side-affect of this is that the original bathroom and cloakroom are now almost landlocked in the centre of the house.

Actually quite like this (plot and location).

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Although I think I'd rather it was demolished and 2 new detached houses/a terrace of 4 was built in its place

Really makes you wonder though. Assuming 5x mortgage you'd need a salary of over £130 to buy it and why would anyone on that level of salary want not just that house but to live in Bromley?

Not if you're bringing equity from another house.
