I like that except for the blue tiles and Estepona is a nice place to live.

It's hideous.

But if it was an AirBnB I might stay for a few nights for the sheer hilarity.

The anti-pawn thread.

As good as any to start with - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

What the hell is that, and for half a million !!!!

Squeezed into a tiny space, being built - https://www.google.com/maps/@51.7933914,-0.6659818...

Place before it was built - https://www.google.com/maps/@51.7933906,-0.6659667...
SOLD!

Would be interested to find out how close to the asking it got.

TBH I am an interested party as we live in a extended, nice, village based (3miles from this) Semi so it is only good for our value.

Sorry to resurrect this old post but it made me smile when I saw it as we live close by and were looking to move to Tring at the end of last year/early this year.

This came up during our searches and I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing. I know Tring is reasonably expensive but, frankly, this house is hideous and just looks all kinds of wrong. I certainly would not be able to live with the looks from from the front every time I pulled up outside.

Turns out (if anyone is interested) it sold for £450,000 in the end - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/HP23/Chris... Madness.

When you are a pushy irritating client who's always changing their minds and you give your architect the choice over windows.

Actually quite like this (plot and location).

Although I think I'd rather it was demolished and 2 new detached houses/a terrace of 4 was built in its place
Really makes you wonder though. Assuming 5x mortgage you'd need a salary of over £130 to buy it and why would anyone on that level of salary want not just that house but to live in Bromley?
I remember the "hayesford park" estate going up, used to play there as a kid. Many thought it was dead posh at the time!

Sorry, correction. It's a house. Apparently.

I like that. Impressive array of sheds too.

Quite close to Waddesdon Manor. One of the Rothschilds has built this place nearby, which I also like

I like that as well - lots of land too. Would need a kitchen refurb. and plasterers to flatten the ceilings.

Pray do tell, what kind of architecturally stunning house do YOU live in?

P.S. We live in a very similar house. Built by a properly trained architect - I get sunlight all year round, I get to enjoy vistas, I know where my water, electricity, heating, Cat 6 etc run. I don't need boilers straight off The Titanic to keep warm in the Winter either. The list goes on and on...

I like it... needs some modernization inside, or I just don't like the 70's look. I'd happily live there.

I love it. Interesting and under-stated style I think. Good job we all like different things I suppose.

Nothing really fundamentally wrong with that, needs a refurbish to get the outside back up to scratch, move the antennas somewhere like up on the roof and to tidy up the inside but not too bad at all.

Might need a lot of blinds if it's overlooked, and I'd hope that roof is thick enough to stop it making a racket in the rain. (Just corrugated metal, or is there concrete on top of it?)

At least it has some proper design to it and it isn't a pastiche.

Speaking as someone who hates flat roofs, I like that as well. Jones makes a good summary. Roof construction looks suspect but a new roof (flat) to modern standards wouldn't be a significant problem considering the price. Lovely house.

Looks like a 1970s school building, very dated would be better off knocking down and rebuilding. is that corrugated steel as the roof, cant provide much heat retention in the winter. So many better houses out there.
