but you can bet your logo'd mini (sorry) that Savills were getting paid for it at some level.

ETA for a long time there was no reason for the solicitor to disclose referral fees, but they now have to.

haha! Thankfully I take a car allowance that allows me to choose my own wheels.

When at Savills I was in a position to choose who I referred to (if anyone) and these tended to be local firms where i had a good relationship with the conveyancer. A lunch every now and again, tickets to cricket/rugby once or twice a year was seen as an acceptable 'thank you'. So, I doubt Savills were receiving financial payments that I was unaware of - could be wrong tho.

Rah, sorry to go off topic, you don't know Frank from Bridges in Farnborough do you.

I'm guessing your business is a pretty small world.

Anyway, as you were.

Phill

Edited to add, do you know the property up for £180k in Vernon Way...that looks like a nightmare.

You’re right it is a rather incestuous business! smile

I do know of Frank, I think, Italian surname iirc…?

Just had a look at the Vernon Way place - a strange looking thing, isn't it?!

Bizzare, been on the market for months but having had a snoop around the outside it could end up being a right can of worms.

Apologies for the Hijack.
