Agree totally, the perfect house for a petrolhead.

Imaging having mates to start with this built;

Also of significant to potential purchasers would be the two planning permissions that have been obtained. The references are 11/00825/FUL and 11/03508/FUL. The first, granted on 21 April 2011 gives permission for the construction of a double garage incorporating holiday accommodatioin (10m x 6.2m) to include kitchen, lounge area, two bedrooms and two ensuite bathrooms overlooking the race track with pediment windows.

The second was for the construction of a large double garage with full length hobby room above (7m x 6.2m) incorporating three pediment and velux windows enjoying the benefit and aspect over track.
Perfection has been found. Now if we could just more that marshalls post and cut a few trees down to improve the view...

The trees might be useful to prevent a Touring Car, a Radical or an over-eager Saxo from landing on your decking!

How cool to have teams etc etc to stay, judging by the other thread..................... money for nothing............ having looked a bit closer the track runs clockwise away from the house : )................. don't local residents get free passes to watch everything for free.......... as a sweetener ?

Same it's not got any garaging but I guess you could knock £25k off the asking price to compensate.

Its a bargain due to it being taken by tax and fraud laws I imagine.

She paid for it by stealing other peoples cash.

Really interesting case if you want to google the owner.

  • actually true, I was born here and grew up here.

Round the corner from me - born in/grew up in Virginia Water. Still have the house and land, although developers are trying to buy it, knock down our house and build 3 on the plot. Given what prices have done, I'm not surprised...
Where abouts, did you go to school locally? this place is on Wick Lane.
I know Wick Lane! Went to prep school at St George's, Windsor. After that went away to boarding school...
Ahhh - my brother was at Scaitcliffe, which was at the end of Wick Lane.

Assuming that you have to earn a living, how long are you going to spend there in the average year? You will need a chopper.

On the bright side maybe with a smaller acreage you wouldn't become a victim of the bolshevik peasants.

PS Who has bought on the Loch in the last two years?
As for earning as living, I live on the same loch, as does my mrs, and we live here 365 days a year.

As for being too remote, I left home early morning a couple of weeks ago, had a meeting and lunch in London and was home by tea. (Oh, and I don't own a chopper)

I've not noticed any bolshevik peasants up here recently. Of the 300 or so that live in this 500 square miles (or so), probably 200 are English

JK and Gordon Murray also have houses on the Loch. Gordon is building a second next year.

I can see where you are coming from re the acreage re hunting/shooting, but the last two big estates that have sold up here have not been bought for that reason, and I seriously doubt Torridon will be. I know someone who is interested, as he wants to turn it into a hotel and five holiday cottages (he owns two similar already).

The single track roads are bloody brilliant in an Aston btw. (Check out my videos)

smile
Been up round there recently, my apologies, you were absolutely right.

Yes, you are right. The will do a competent and correct classical house, but Vanbrugh they're not.
