great idea OP, top man points to you.

why is it that all men think that a tiny hose will put out a raging inferno?? exhibit 1 is my brother trying to stop the tree being set on fire before the mother bks him.

Awesome pictures, op you are a legend.

And loving the fact that the ads at the bottom of posts are from shed companies, allowing you to replace burnt shed with a nice new shiny one ASAP.

Errrr any air/sea/army cadet would tell you that the spray should be aimed at the base of the flame, not at the flame.......Man Fail.

Well that's even worse. When I was in the RM, our fire drills during guard duty usually mentioned aiming the water at the base of the fire.

You can probably expect much of the surrounding foliage to die back soon as it will have been killed by the fire/smoke.

Indeed.

But if it all goes wrong and sets fire to the neighbours house/shed/garden then you dont look quite so clever.

Outstanding. Like others, I expected to see something with large wheels and an engine being employed in destruction, but... I didn't expect this.

Man points all around. Top effort. The write-up is great, too, and you just know that if the MiL had been within earshot of the "why don't we burn it" question then the echoes of the 'don't be so bloody stupid' would be still audible to this day, and would have possibly outlived background cosmic radiation...

Love it. Nothing like a GOOD fire to get things going.

Where you singing along to 'Im a fire starter, twisted fire starter'?
