I'd just live downstairs. I'm not sure my brain would let me onto that.

Local to me. £1m for something between a murder house & the Shining. Ok, a big doer upper but looks like a lot of possible asbestos to me. The pool is a nice touch.

Do love an avocado kitchen.

Is it a pool or a commercial badger baiting pit?

I suspect you could lose a £1m gutting that to a shell and redoing to a rather lovely home?
It's an outdoor pool that's had a very shonky shack built over it.
Front path looks like a railway turntable

All that's missing from the front garden is a broken washing machine and a sofa, what a tip.

Interesting Church Conversion and certainly not a nightmare overall, but not only would the staircase in pics 21 and 22 scare the st outta me walking up it, but how on earth did it meet building regs? confused

That floating staircase only leads to a mezzanine storage area, which I expect was classed as non-habitable loft space. This would not require a staircase for B. Regs compliance, which is perhaps why this was allowed to happen.

Erm?

Clearly built for the Airbnb market but backing out for whatever reason.

I can't help but think it looks like a pigsty.

A beautiful modernist coastal house (as ever, nowhere near the map pin, it's hard on the coast W of Criccieth) which was featured during the build by a couple from the North West.

Suspect an issue with hiking meerkats though...

I saw that on Grand Designs recently. (ETA.....Oops, it says that in the EA details biggrin )

Much was made of hold back the cliff erosion.
Did they run out of money a quarter of the way in? I always wonder how people end up forgoing space and therefore utility. stty little bedrooms, no garaging. I appreciate the precarious position of this particular place but the amount of land it has could have easily afforded a more, well, luxurious end product with regards to space.

£3.5m for that? wow, what the hell has happened.

I assume that must be close to the going rate for the area but still, why would anyone in their right mind spend that sort of money on what looks like an ex council semi detached house?

Someone has helpfully done a Street view Image of the entire Costal path.

I like the house, but where would any visitors go if they needed the loo. They all seem to be in the ensuites.

I actually like that, but, I'd rather a bungalow, and the master Bedroom to have the best view. Is there a path down to the beach. I'd want a boat house and a triple garage.

It has a similar architectural vibe to this but with a completely different view of the sea. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/144315530?u...

33sq meters!!!!! for £220k. It was meant to be one two bed bungalow with parking and garden but the greedy developer thought 2 bug hutches would be better. The world has gone mad.

Was that the one where access was tricky under a low and narrow railway bridge?

Wonder what the reason for sale is - I got the impression they didn’t think the place would be sellable due to cliff erosion but they were saying they didn’t care and would stay as long as possible?

I hope the house that sold their garden got paid well because they've absolutely screwed their own value, I'd say. Or maybe Buildy McBuilder built in his own back yard?
