It is in a very nice area though, right nearby the Derbyshire dales.

Old people.
Carpet in bathroom is a giveaway.
Easily changed/updated, though.....

I quite like that. With a refit in areas inside I think it would make for a pleasant gaff.

The price seems cheap if the area is nice. Looks relatively accessible to the m1 and surely some reasonable jobs in Sheffield which isn't too far away. Is that indicative of local housing prices?

Reading the various comments on this place before I clicked the link, I was genuinely expecting a house of horrors.

You lot don't half exaggerate!

The main problem with it is that it is right on the A483 which carries a lot of traffic. 2015 stats from http://www.dft.gov.uk/traffic-counts/cp.php?la=Shr... pasted below:

Type Number (per day) in 2015
PedalCycles 6
Motorcycles 70
CarsTaxis 7,973
BusesCoaches 53
LightGoodsVehicles 1,917
V2AxleRigidHGV 232
V3AxleRigidHGV 138
V4or5AxleRigidHGV 145
V3or4AxleArticHGV 111
V5AxleArticHGV 160
V6orMoreAxleArticHGV 264
AllHGVs 1,050
AllMotorVehicles 11,062

At least the property is reasonably well set back from the road, but I still wouldn't buy (even at that price): https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Llynclys,+Oswe...

Edited by tokyo_mb on Monday 19th December 14:18 to clarify stats are per day

I dont get it. 11,062/365 = 30

30 vehicles a day counts as a lot?

Numbers are per day, not per year. (Can't imagine an A road anywhere carrying only 30 vehicles a day!)

Its an odd one. It appears to be linked by the upstairs area above the car port. But I think you'd also have to go through the main bathroom....

I Don't understand how a house like this gets built....

Not far off the mark...!
Very local to where I am now, and the owner is relatively well known around Yorkshire in debt management and tracing circles. Not sure what the car of choice is though.

Not the houses I've looked at around there while day dreaming. It does appear relatively cheap for something similar in that general vicinity

It appears to be right next to some sort of quarry and is not far from clay cross which is a bit of a dive. Might be a bit isolated for some I suppose but that would be right up my street. Wonder if it's the quarry

There's not normally much around my local area that's worthy of inclusion on this thread, but I would love to buy this and renovate it into a family home...

Originally the site was military (I remember delivering papers there as a young teenager) but I don't know how long the actual house has been unused.

£2m before rennovations.

could be beautiful. only problem is that the sort of person who could afford to buy it then spend another few million refurbishing it is likely to Russian-ise it.
