The joys of an old house!
It will be the same for every room. A week job to redecorate will end up turning into 2 months whilst you redo absolutely everything.
I'm going room at a time. So far 2 bedrooms, bathroom, 2 lounges, kitchen and halfway through the steps/hallway in 5 years.
If one bit of advice I can give, make sure the shell of the house is good before you do inside. Good roof, good windows and drains you can then not repeat jobs. I spilt 2l of gloss white paint over a brand new carpet as sorted the windows after decorating the front room. Learnt my lesson there.
Liking the black/silver wallpaper. We went with very similar and despite a nightmare hanging on 3m uneven walls, 4 years later still love it.
